Getting Started

Q: I have an NFL Fantasy account but no ESPN account. What should I expect?

Welcome to ESPN!

Start by downloading the ESPN Fantasy app or on the web by accessing https://fantasy.espn.com/football/welcome.

Click or select the Import NFL League option.

When you are prompted to create an ESPN account, sign up using the same email address you use for your NFL Fantasy account — this will link your leagues automatically and ensure the smoothest transition.

NOTE: If you use a different email for ESPN, you can enter your NFL Fantasy email address during the import flow; we'll send you an email to link the two accounts. 

 

Q: I already have both an NFL Fantasy and an ESPN account. What should I expect?

Great! If both accounts share the same email address, your NFL Fantasy leagues will be ready to activate as soon as you click Import NFL League and log into your ESPN account. NOTE: Once you are logged in to ESPN, if you use a different email for your NFL Fantasy leagues, you'll be prompted to enter your NFL Fantasy email — we'll send a link to connect the two accounts.

 

Q: I'm an NFL Fantasy team manager (not the league manager). How can I see my league on ESPN? 

Start by downloading the ESPN Fantasy app or on the web by clicking here.

Select the Import NFL League option.

Your NFL Fantasy leagues will now be displayed. However, only your league manager can complete the import. If your LM hasn't started the process yet, click the Notify Commish button to send them a notification to initiate the import.
 

League Managers

Q: I'm the league manager. How do I import my NFL Fantasy league?

Open the ESPN Fantasy app or go to the web (https://fantasy.espn.com/football/welcome) and sign in.

Select Import NFL League.

If your ESPN and NFL Fantasy accounts share the same email address, your leagues will appear, and you can activate them right away.

Once you have migrated your league, you will see league and manager information, including settings, past standings, and league record history. If your league is a Keeper league, team rosters will also be migrated.

NOTE: You are the only one who can initiate the import. Team managers can only see the leagues.

 

Q: Our current league manager doesn't want to play this season. How do we assign a new one and still migrate to ESPN?

Sorry to hear that, but the good news is that you can still play!

First, the existing LM will need to import the league. Once imported, they can transfer league manager powers to another member. NOTE: This must be done on the web.

Once the NFL League has been imported, the current LM must go to League Manager Tools and use the Assign LM Powers option. Click here to view all League Manager FAQs. 

NOTE: If your LM is unwilling to import the league at all, there's no self-serve way to transfer LM status outside of ESPN at this time. Please contact ESPN Fan Support, and we will assist in this transfer. You can initiate a chat by clicking on the chatbot icon.
