What is the point spread?

​​In a moneyline wager, the bettor focuses just on who will be the winner of the match. The odds shown are a reflection of the payout based on which team wins a game. The team with a plus sign in front of the odds is the underdog and bettors can potentially earn a higher payout if they win. On the flip side, odds with a minus sign reflect teams that are favored to win and reflect the amount that needs to be wagered in order to win $100. 

 

Example: 

Winning Team	Odd	Explanation
Team A	-150	Team is favored to win. Bettor must wager $150 and Team A must win in order to win $100
Team B	+150	Team is the underdog. The bettor can win $150 if they wager $100 and Team B wins
Tie	Push	If the game ends in a tie, the bettor's wager is returned with no loss or profit.
