1. What is Next Gen Stats? How is the data collected and stats calculated?
a. Next Gen Stats is the NFL-operated player tracking technology solution that captures real-time location data, speed and acceleration for every player for every play on every inch of the field. Sensors throughout the stadium track tags placed on players' shoulder pads, charting individual movements within inches. The raw tracking data is combined with eventing data (i.e., the moment of ball snap, pass forward, pass arrival, etc.) to create the NGS suite of metrics.
2. When will stats be updated after a game?
a. Next Gen Stats will be available for the game the day after the game has been played. The Box Score and Play By Play will update during the game.
3. How do I save a Film Room playlist for future reference?
a. At the bottom of the filter list, there is a “Save Search” button. By clicking on this, a new box will open where you can see the parameters for your playlist and give it a name. You can then easily pull up your saved playlist by navigating to the Film Room and switching to the “Saved” tab. Unless a specific week or game is selected, the saved playlist will update automatically with the latest game film as it becomes available.
4. Can I share a playlist with my friends?
a. Yes. Simply copy & paste the URL for any playlist to send it to your friends, reference it in an article, or link to it in a social media post. Note: For those not logged into NFL+ Premium, the link will reroute to the sign in/sign up page and navigate back to the playlist once signed in.
5. How is the matchup advantage calculated?
a. For each given split, the teams are given a composite score based on their per-play performance (using success rate & EPA per play) and total production (using EPA). These scores are compared for a team’s offense against their opponent’s defense and the relative strength of that matchup converted into stars, where 5-stars represent the top 10% of strongest advantages.
6. What do gold numbers signify in stat tables on NFL Pro?
a. Any number in gold font is also a link. Clicking that link will open a new tab in your browser and auto-populate the corresponding playlist for said number.
7. Do I have the ability to disable Live odds in the “Games” pages?

a. Insights will begin to go live on Tuesday each week and then more will be added leading up to kickoff for each game. Monday Night Football and the prior week need to wrap so league ranks can be included.
10. Where do the insights come from?
